DEK Reflects on Successful Productronica

Multiple Platform and Stencil Sales Achieved; Visitors Leveraged Expertise at Print Lab Solutions Center

Last month's Productronica in Munich, Germany proved to be a highly productive event for print technology leader DEK.  Over the four days of the show, DEK technology experts met with numerous customers, sharing their deep knowledge base and showcasing the company's full suite of print platforms and process support products.  The result was multiple product sales and meaningful conversations with show delegates about current solutions and future printing requirements.

Making its first major European show debut was DEK's latest innovation, the VectorGuard High Tension stencil system.  The evolution of the award-winning VectorGuard, VectorGuard High Tension offers tension that is 45% greater than previous versions and is ideal for today's highly miniaturized devices.  As evidenced by several on-the-spot purchases, visitors to the DEK booth clearly saw the stencil technology's benefits of improved process control, excellent solder paste definition, better transfer efficiency and greater end-of-line yield.

"The response to VectorGuard High Tension was overwhelming," comments DEK Global PSP Product Manager and European Sales Manager, Rick Goldsmith.  "We sold 15 systems during the show and expect the final result from our efforts at Productronica to be well beyond the show floor sales.  There is so much enthusiasm around this product; it's fantastic."

DEK's renowned Horizon iX platform was also in demand, with three systems being purchased during Productronica and multiple quotes having been requested.  Mr. Jean Marie Penven, Business Unit Manager at Czech Republic-based Integrated Micro-Electronics, came to Productronica specifically to finalize a printer purchase decision.  Ultimately, the automotive electronics manufacturer decided on DEK.

"We needed to replace our old printer and upgrade to a system that can accommodate high-end automotive products," explains Penven.  "In addition to the Horizon 03iX's exceptional accuracy, DEK technologies such as HawkEye Bridging print verification, Universal Paste Roll Height monitor paste control and QC-CALC advanced SPC software were critical to our decision to partner with DEK.  We know this is the right move for our business, as this well-equipped platform can accommodate our current and future manufacturing requirements."

Central to DEK's market success is the deep knowledge base of its team and this expertise was at the heart of the DEK exhibit and showcased at the company's Print Lab Solutions Center and Print Lab 2020 Vision presentations.  Customers and booth visitors took advantage of the opportunity to discuss today's printing challenges and gain insight into DEK's vision of the future of printing technology.

"By all measures, Productronica was a huge success for DEK this year," concludes DEK global Marketing Director, Karen Moore-Watts.  "From our dedicated display to the five partner booths where we also had a presence, DEK's product leadership and technical expertise were well-represented."
