David Barnett Joins Real-Time Innovations as VP of Product Management


SANTA CLARA, CA-December 5, 2005- Real-Time Innovations, Inc. (RTI), the leading provider of software tools and middleware for distributed data-critical systems, today announced the appointment of David Barnett as vice president of Product Management. In this new position, Barnett will oversee all product strategy, execution and management functions for the company's product lines.

Barnett joins RTI with 20 years experience in the real-time software industry and an extensive background in product management and marketing. Most recently, he was director of Product Marketing at Green Hills Software, a leading supplier of real-time operating systems. Prior to serving at Green Hills Software, Barnett was vice president of Marketing for real-time middleware provider Highlander Engineering, where he played a key role in the company's Series A funding, growth into a market leadership position and eventual acquisition by Borland Software Corporation. Barnett has also held senior product management and marketing positions at Mentor Graphics Corporation and Wind River Systems. He began his career developing software for distributed real-time systems at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
