This seasoned mechanical engineer will strengthen CJWinter’s influence in an untapped market region.

ROCHESTER, NY/SINGAPORE – CJWinter, a leading provider of precision thread rolling solutions, has announced the addition of Daniel Lim to its growing team of engineering professionals. Mr. Lim will serve as CJWinter’s Sales and Service Manufacturer Representative for the Far East region, based out of Singapore.

A Singapore citizen himself, Mr. Lim will bring over 20 years of relevant experience to his new role with CJWinter. The majority of his experience is in the oil gas industry, where his skills led to the successful design and development of various surface, mudline, subsea, and drilling products.

Mr. Lim attended Nanyang Technical University (NTU), where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and production engineering with honors. Majoring in product design, Mr. Lim gained a comprehensive understanding of design management, optimization, and analysis, as well as industrial and human resource management. Mr. Lim also earned a manufacturing engineering diploma from Singapore Polytechnic (SP). At SP, Mr. Lim majored in industrial automation and gained knowledge of robotics mechanisms and controls, numerical control technology, and metrology and quality control.

In his previous role, Mr. Lim was a principal mechanical engineer at Halliburton Far East Pte Ltd., with a concentration on Sperry drilling technology. At Halliburton, Mr. Lim was responsible for the mechanical design of products that included directional drilling (DD), measurement-while-drilling (MWD), and logging-while-drilling (LWD) tools. He also provided technical support on various Sperry products and quality management systems. Mr. Lim’s proficiency in this role earned him a seat on the global Sperry Drilling Sustaining Council.

Mr. Lim is well-recognized for driving highly successful product design campaigns. He has a keen eye for product enhancement—a trait that will serve him well at CJWinter. “I was familiar with the technical capabilities of CJWinter’s cold root rolling products, so I gladly accepted the offer,” he said. “The Far East region is a fairly untapped market, and I see great potential for the growth and sale of our specialized products.”

With the addition of Mr. Lim, CJWinter will work toward cultivating substantial partnerships with clients in Singapore, China, India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
