CSI Wireless provides tracking technology for Lance Armstrong Foundation ride

Calgary, Alberta - Oct. 13, 2005 - (TSX:CSY) - Tracking technology from CSI Wireless Inc. is helping people closely monitor the progress of five relay teams of cyclists as they ride around the clock from Alberta to Texas to raise funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and its battle against cancer.
The relay teams left here on Oct. 12 on a grueling 2,400-mile ride known as the Calgary-to-Austin Peloton Project (CTAPP). Supporters of CTAPP and of cycling superstar Lance Armstrong's Austin-based foundation are tracking the cyclists' progress by going onto the CTAPP Web site at http://ctapp.org/ridertracker.php.
A support vehicle accompanying the cyclists is equipped with an Asset-Link fleet-tracking unit from CSI Wireless. The unit features a GPS receiver that calculates the cyclists' current location, and a wireless radio that transmits the location data back to CSI's Calgary headquarters, where the data is posted in map format on the CTAPP Web site. The maps are updated every 10 minutes, day and night.
"The tracking technology and mapping system from CSI Wireless is helping everyone who supports cancer research feel like they are part of this seven-day event," said CTAPP co-chairman Mike Crape. "The Canadian riders' family members and friends are using the system to see how far they have ridden, and Lance Armstrong and his foundation are using the system to see when the riders will reach Austin."
Each of the 23 cyclists in the ride has lined up at least C$25,000 of donations so CTAPP can contribute more than C$500,000 to the non-profit Lance Armstrong Foundation and its financing of cancer research. The foundation is committed to giving the CTAPP donations to research projects in Canada.
