Crane-Buying Spree Expands, Strengthens Fleet
ALL Family of Companies Introduces Equipment at CONEXPO
Always ahead of the pack, the ALL Family of Companies has once more added to its current wealth of available equipment with a variety of new purchases, all announced at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014 in Las Vegas, Nev. Foremost is the acquisition of 10 new 330-USt Manitowoc MLC300s, featuring the exclusive Variable Position Counterweight (VPC) system.
In the proprietary, one-of-its-kind VPC system, the counterweight is centered between the fully retracted and fully extended positions, automatically balancing the crane's center of gravity. A patented rail system transfers the counterweight from back to front, depending on the boom extension. Because the counterweight is movable as needed, VPC helps reduce the crane's operating footprint, which in turn helps reduce the ground-bearing pressure and the amount of ground preparation required for crane operations. Because the VPC system uses less counterweight overall, it is a huge time- and cost-saver and helps boost productivity.
The tighter operating footprint of the MLC300 also means reduced matting and counterweight loads. Less weight results in lower travel costs, making the MLC300 as affordable as it is revolutionary.
Also purchased were four 150-USt Link-Belt RTC-80150 Series II rough terrain cranes. The 80150 has a capacity equaling the largest RTs on the market, yet with six tires on a hydrostatic drive, the 80150 moves easily around jobsites, working at a dramatically lower profile and achieving a turning radius of less than 22 ft. The breakdown time is less than an hour.
Next on the buyer's list was a 45-USt Liebherr LTC 1045-3.1. The single cab of the LTC 1045-3.1 telescopes forward or back for either driving or crane operations. In addition, while performing crane operations, the cab can be boomed up to elevate the operator over 25 ft, providing an unparalleled view of the work site. Compact and nimble, the 1045-3.1 loves narrow spaces and is ideal when a pick's sight lines are limited.
And there's more. ALL's newly acquired Genie® SX-180 is the highest-reaching self-propelled boom in the world, built to safely and quickly lift operators. It is ideal for applications in the oil and gas industry, commercial and industrial construction, and general maintenance fields.
Finally, 22 Broderson IC-200s have also been purchased. Known as the "hard-working crane for hard-working sites," the IC-200s will be joining the ALL fleet throughout 2014.
