Congressman Mick Mulvaney Tours Isola's South Carolina Facility



Ongoing IPC Initiative to Open Dialogue Between Electronics Manufacturers and Policymakers



BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA — Today, Congressman Mick Mulvaney (R-SC-5) visited the Isola Group S.à r.l.’s manufacturing facility in Ridgeway, S.C., to learn firsthand about policy and regulatory issues affecting the electronics manufacturing industry.



Rep. Mulvaney’s visit to Isola included a tour of the facility that manufactures laminate materials used to fabricate printed boards that are used in a variety of advanced electronics including network and communications equipment, high-end consumer products, advanced automotive, aerospace, military and medical applications.



“My sincerest thanks to Isola and IPC for hosting today’s meeting,” said Rep. Mulvaney. “Isola is an important manufacturer in South Carolina, and I’m genuinely appreciative of the hard work and attention to detail that goes into manufacturing laminate materials for electronic products and equipment that each of us use every day.”



The Congressman visited with Isola’s Mike Gastonguay, President – Americas and discussed a variety of issues including export controls, R&D tax credits and intellectual property protection. "Isola was honored to host Rep. Mulvaney at our facility,” said Gastonguay. “It is important for our industry to engage with policymakers and work with IPC to ensure our collective voices are heard on critical policy issues and regulations that enhance economic growth.”



Rep. Mulvaney’s visit was part of IPC’s “Meet the Policymakers” program.
