Comptel Appoints Juhani Hintikka New President and CEO

The Board of Directors of Comptel Corporation has today appointed Mr Juhani Hintikka, M.Sc. (Eng.), as the new President and CEO of Comptel. He will assume his new position on January 3, 2011.
Juhani Hintikka (b. 1966) is currently the global Head of Operations Support Solutions Business Line at Nokia Siemens Networks.
At Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks, Mr Hintikka has since 1999 held several general management and executive positions in research and development, operations and sales, leading global organisations with sites in India, China and several European countries. Prior to joining Nokia Siemens Networks, he worked in Konecranes Group during 1994 - 1999 (located in France 1994 - 1998) and in KONE Group during 1992 - 1994. Mr Hintikka was a member of the Board of Directors of Comptel Corporation during 2007 - 2008.

He has wide market experience especially from emerging markets in Asia, Middle East and Latin America. Sami Erviö will leave his current position as President and CEO of the Company with immediate effect. He will continue for the time being to work with assignments from the Board of Directors. Simo Saaskilahti, Senior Vice President, Products and Solutions and Deputy CEO has been appointed Acting President and CEO starting October 26, 2010 until Juhani Hintikka assumes his new position.
