Come Alive Organics LLC Expands Filling Output with New Automation Investment
With strong current and projected demand for stick pack and sachet packet filling, Come Alive Organics LLC has just finalized the investment of four new high-speed liquid filling lines with the capacity to fill 1 million stick packs or sachets per week. This more than doubles the previous available output capacity.
The resurgence of retail and food service demand, while at the same time, the on-boarding of two new mass retailers justified the investment to expand the liquid filling footprint so that all demand will be met. As stated by Come Alive Organics’ new Chief Operating Office Gary M. Lastinger, “other co-packers are close to full capacity which is why the cost to fill has been increasing. At Come Alive Organics, our strategy has always been to continuously improve efficiencies and increase output so that we can extend cost savings to our customers every year. We add value to your supply chain by adding capacity not restricting it, which would force prices upward.”
Most importantly, the new machines utilize the latest technology that produce a built-in dispenser in the stick pack not previously seen in the market. This built-in dispenser allows the user a much easier way to open the stick pack and expel product: a more customerfriendly experience.
The new filling lines are flexible with the ability to fill liquid stick packs that are 20mm to 50mm wide by 30mm to 160mm in length. For customers that prefer to use sachets with either powder or liquid product, the lines are capable to fill any sachet 15mm to 55mm wide by 50mm to 160mm in length.
Further downstream from the fill lines are fully automated secondary packaging machinery to erect cases and build out each pallet. By removing manual labor and increasing quality control standards, we assure our process is consistent and exceeds customer expectations.
