Because nobody can afford any more these days to invest in resources that they don't really need or use, ColorGATE has developed and is now launching PS7 Business X, a professional RIP software that is designed in the starting version for processing complex digital or offset print jobs on not more than one printer, but that can be expanded at any time in the future to meet new, growing needs.
"We have developed PS7 Business X to specifically address a very interesting market segment," explains ColorGATE Managing Director Thomas Kirschner. "Not every print services provider needs a production environment with lots of printers. PS7 Business X comes with a range of features that can be compared with significantly higher-priced solutions; but the basic features for only one large-format output system at first are offered at a great, low price that's hard to beat. The attractive new addition to the ColorGATE X-Line comes with modules for Tiling, Containers, Color Replacement, Quality Assurance and Cost Calculation; the system includes 10 hotfolders and 1 printer driver in Cat 1. The net list price amounts to Euros 2995.
Smooth PDF workflows with Adobe PDF Print Engine 2.5 (APPE 2.5)
As a high-powered solution for professional users, Productionserver 7 Business X - just like all the other X-Line product variants - has also been equipped with the latest version of Adobe PDF Print Engine as an additional renderer: ColorGATE is one of the world's first vendors to integrate APPE 2.5 seamlessly into its RIP software to allow for tremendous improvements in the entire workflow in processing PDF documents in digital and offset printing.
Thanks to PS7 Business X, the print services provider is now able to reproduce even the most complex transparency and shadow effects with ease, exactly the way the designer intended it to be. Perfect coordination with the other high-performance modules included in the system also make it possible to achieve significantly increased productivity and higher earnings.

APPE 2.5 is optionally available for all Version-7 types like PS7 Campaign Printing Flex and PS7 Graphic Arts Flex Productionserver types, with the exception of the Filmgate and Plategate solutions. Users with previous versions can take advantage of the attractively priced upgrade and cross grade options.
