Cleveland Motion Controls, Inc. is Honored with the Governer's Excellence in Exporting Award (Eaward)


CLEVELAND, OH, Cleveland Motion Controls, Inc. (CMC) announced today its receipt of the 2006 Governor's Excellence in Exporting Award (eAward). The eAward recognizes a select group of Ohio-based companies whose export activities have resulted in dramatically increased sales. Small, medium and large Ohio-based manufacturing and service business are eligible for this award. Selection for the award is based on significant growth of export sales, dollar volume of export business, overcoming obstacles or challenges in exporting and support of exporting in Ohio.

Wayne Foley, President of Cleveland Motion Controls accepted the award at a luncheon, held June 21 at the Statehouse Auditorium in Columbus, Ohio. "This award recognizes the hard work and success of our employees and we are thankful for their contributions toward this achievement," said Foley. "This award also displays our ongoing commitment to helping build Ohio's economy and our support of Northeast Ohio and its communities."

In 2005, CMC exported its products to customers in over 70 countries. The influx of exporting activity, coupled with its continually growing domestic market, has required CMC to significantly expand its workforce, thereby adding much needed jobs to Northeastern Ohio.
