Cleaver-Brooks' Commitment to Small Boiler Market Drives Facility Expansion
MILWAUKEE - Cleaver-Brooks is proud to announce the expansion of its Stratford, Ontario location. The boiler manufacturing facility has been expanded to allow Cleaver-Brooks to better address the increased need for production of small, modular boilers including its newest model, the ClearFire CFC condensing boiler.
The expansion also enhances the company's commitment to the Stratford community through the creation of an additional 20 jobs at the facility. Currently, the facility employs 177 employees and manufacturers a variety of package boiler products.
Full operation of the ClearFire production line was completed on April 1 and utilizes Toyota Production System practices enabling the production of two CFC model units per day in only a single eight hour shift. This new production line will support the full ClearFire family of products including model CFC sizes 500-2500 hp, model CFH sizes 10-80 hp and model CFV sizes from 10-60 hp.
"The rising fuel costs and mandatory emissions regulations are forcing customers to find new ways to conserve energy and increase fuel efficiency in the boiler room," says Earle Pfefferkorn, president of C-B Package Boiler. "Increased production of our modular ClearFire boiler through this expansion allows us to strengthen our commitment to helping customers achieve performance improvements."
Products like the ClearFire are at the core of Cleaver-Brooks' commitment to driving the new generation of high-efficiency boilers and burners. The ClearFire CFC boiler achieves operating efficiencies of 99 percent in full-condensing mode. The modular hot water boiler is single pass-down fired with rugged stainless steel construction and comes in sizes ranging from 750 MBtuh to 2,500 MBtuh. Utilizing a premix burner with a metal fiber head, the CFC model provides NOx emissions of less than 10ppm, significantly lower than the industry average of 62 ppm.
