RIA's Cleaning & Restoration Magazine Honored



Rockville, MD  – The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) magazine, C&R, has been honored with a bronze medal in the Commemoration/Tribute category in Association TRENDS’ 2012 All-Media Contest. The magazine was one of over 420 entries in the association publication contest.



“We are honored to be one of this year’s contest winners and humbled to be recognized for our efforts,” said Editor-in-Chief, Patricia Harman. “Our goal is to provide a magazine that educates readers and recognizes the accomplishments of those in the industry. It is truly a team effort.”



C&R received the award for the November/December 2011 tribute to Martin King, CR, ASA, a leader and visionary in the cleaning and restoration industry, whose work still impacts business practices today. King has been an industry educator and leader for more than 40 years. The article included tributes from others in the industry who were privileged to learn from and work with King over the years.



After publishing for more than 50 years, the magazine was recently rebranded from Cleaning & Restoration to C&R. It is a leading source of technical, business and general restoration information for the industry.



C&R has won 22 awards in the last eight years, and will be honored at the 34th Annual Salute to Association Excellence on February 15, 2013, at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC. Winners of the All-Media contest will also be featured in the January issue of TRENDS online.
