Clean Harbors Recycling Center Achieves Safety Milestone


Marks 300,000 hours without a lost-time incident

CHICAGO - April 5, 2011 - Clean Harbors, North America's leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services, today announced that its Solvent Recycling Center located here has surpassed 300,000 manhours without a U.S.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable or lost-time incident.

This outstanding safety performance represents more than four and a half years of injury-free work by the 32 employees at the site. In achieving this benchmark the Chicago Solvent Recycling Center has also attained a three-year OSHA incident rate of 0.86 versus the industry average rate of 3.70.
