Citect Signs OEM* Agreement with Preferred Instruments

Alpharetta,GA - Citect partner, Control Point has entered into an agreement with Preferred Instruments, a division of Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation, to start offering Citect solutions as its standard SCADA package for its combustion and facility control systems.
CitectSCADA's open, scalable architecture permits future enhancements without having to modify the existing configuration, a factor which helped Preferred Instruments to decide on incorporating CitectSCADA into its standard package.
CitectSCADA includes the largest number of complimentary native drivers of SCADA offerings, making integration with multiple hardware platforms extremely easy. Its 15-year upgrade history demonstrates the Company's commitment towards ensuring long-term version control. The ability to have multiple versions on the same PC offers easy and near limitless, scalability.
"Control Point and Citect have a solution that can support our customer base for a long time without needing expensive modifications. It is a very open solution and its template, genie and super genie libraries make it easy to meet our customers' specific needs," said Chuck Archibald, Standard Product Development Manager, Preferred Instruments.

Preferred Instruments will utilise many new CitectSCADA V6 features, including the Process Analyst and Web Client. The Process Analyst helps users better analyse disturbances to determine their root cause, preventing possible future problems. The Web Client offers zero maintenance, fully functional clients for CitectSCADA control systems that are easily viewed via a Web browser.
