JULY 2018 – Cincinnati Incorporated (CI) has been selected by Cincy Magazine as a 2018 MANNY Award Winner in the “Best Place to Work” category, and also selected by Ohio Business Magazine as a 2018 “Best Workplace in Ohio”. The company was noted for its leadership development opportunities, career mobility and direct communication channels with management that increased employee engagement. The award from Cincy Magazine was in conjunction with its MANNY Awards program for manufacturing excellence in the Cincinnati region. CI was selected in the Third Annual Ohio Business Magazine Awards in the category for “companies with more than 200 employees.” According to Ohio Business Magazine, the awards look to identify “companies who make their workers feel valued, and that find creative ways to do so.”

“Cincinnati has a long-time commitment to show respect for people, personal growth, and teamwork and collaboration,” said Carey Chen, President and Executive Chairman of Cincinnati Incorporated. “To that end, we conduct an employee engagement survey each year to ensure that we are in-touch with those who contribute to our company success. Last year’s survey showed a 15 percent increase in employment engagement over the previous year and we’re very proud of that.”

In addition to the survey, CI has six volunteer employee teams that serve as liaisons to executive management to promote leadership development, career mobility, engaged culture, commercial focus, health and safety, and total rewards and benefits programs. “This communication channel has led to a variety of positive changes, from the paving and sealing of the headquarters driveway to career ladders for every position in the company,” added Chen.

Nominations for the Cincy Magazine and Ohio Business Magazine awards are received from for-profit, non-profit and government entities throughout the state. The nomination processes considers company size, engagement with employees’ benefits structure, and community involvement. Winners are then selected by awards committees. CI was one of five companies recognized as a Best Place to Work by Cincy Magazine, and was one of 17 companies with more than 200 employees that won the prestigious statewide award from Ohio Business Magazine.

CI, headquartered in Harrison, OH, provides manufacturers with accurate, dependable, laser cutting and automation systems, plasma cutting systems, press brakes, shears and conveyor systems, powder metal presses, and large and small scale additive manufacturing solutions.
