Christenson Electric Acquires Tanner Creek Energy to Expand Its Energy Services Offerings


PORTLAND, Ore., March 15, 2011 - Christenson Electric, one of the Northwest's largest and most respected electrical contractors, today announced the acquisition of local energy solution provider and general contractor Tanner Creek Energy. The acquisition will enable Christenson to expand its renewable energy and operational efficiency services to its customers.

Founded in 1945, Christenson Electric is a locally-owned and operated business that has contributed to the growth and prosperity of the region via its work on major construction projects including landmark buildings, light rail, hospitals and high tech facilities. The company continues to play a key role in building the region's electrical infrastructure. The growth in its renewable and efficiency offerings will allow it to have a similar impact on the region's progress as a leader in energy efficient building and operations. Tanner Creek Energy, founded in 2007 by Alan Hickenbottom, will operate as a division of Christenson Electric. The Tanner Creek Energy division will offer Northwest businesses renewable energy solutions and energy efficiency improvements in lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, motors, compressed air, irrigation and energy. The new division has worked extensively with commercial, agricultural and industrial customers. Tanner Creek has broad knowledge of financing and incentives for energy projects and will help ensure that Christenson and its customers receive the maximum return on their energy investments.
