Chem-Trend Expands Norderstedt, Germany Facility

Howell, Oct. 23, 2008 - Chem-Trend, a global manufacturer of release agents and other process chemical specialties for the die casting, rotational molding, general rubber, polyurethane, tire, thermoplastics and composites industries, today announced the expansion of its Norderstedt, Germany facility. The expansion was undertaken due to increased production demands and to meet future growth needs as it expands its customer base, said company officials. The expansion is expected to be completed in October, 2008.

A wide variety of products are produced and housed at the facility, which had previously been shipped to Chem-Trend distributors as single product orders. The expansion allows for assembly and shipping of multi-product orders, thus increasing efficiency. Chem-Trend is also increasing its storage capabilities for raw materials which will enhance its made-to-order manufacturing capabilities.

The company also took steps to advance its production efficiency and product quality through the utilization of additional equipment to develop a proprietary production process. The new combinations of equipment and production methods will provide even higher levels of consistency in meeting the stringent product standards that customers have come to expect from Chem-Trend.
