Chem-Trend Announces Distributor Partnerships for Thermoplastics Business


Howell, Mich., Sept. 22, 2008 - Chem-Trend, a global manufacturer of process chemical specialties for the thermoplastics and other manufacturing industries, announced today that it has signed two new distributors for its growing U.S. thermoplastics business.

  • JLM Chemicals, a global chemical marketer and distributor headquartered in Tampa, Fla., will serve all market segments in the Southeastern U.S.
  • Jemmco LLC of Milwaukee, Wisc. will distribute Chem-Trend products to the blown-film industry in the U.S. and Canada.

    After a long history of success in the automotive plastics industry, Chem-Trend is targeting the medical, consumer, defense, building, and industrial industries with its Lusin® (pronounced Loo-SEEN) brand of products engineered specifically for the demanding thermoplastics industry. The Lusin® product line includes non-abrasive purging compounds, mold release agents, and mold maintenance products. With access to the expertise of JLM and Jemmco, Chem-Trend expects to significantly accelerate that growth, say company officials.
