ST. LOUIS, Jan. 3 / -- Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:CHTR) today announced the addition of a new website, www.CharterLatino.com to allow Spanish-speaking customers to research and purchase products, check area service availability, find customer support articles, and contact Spanish-speaking service representatives through online chat or email. The site complements an already established bilingual customer service at 1-888-TV-ParaTi, and a recently launched Charter Latino in-language programming offering.
"With the rapid expansion of the Hispanic communities in the markets we serve, we want to ensure that we provide the Spanish-speaking community with the same information about our products and services in their language of choice," said Jeff Cox, Corporate Vice President of Sales Channels. "About half of US Hispanic Internet users prefer to speak Spanish, or a mix of Spanish and English, so it's imperative that we provide our customers with Spanish-language content."
Charter enlisted the expertise of Xcelente!, a cross-cultural, full-service Hispanic marketing & advertising agency based in Denver to design the culturally appropriate look and feel, content writing, translation and transcreation, as well as the technical creation of the Spanish-language web site according to Mr. Cox.
