Channellock Inc. Introduces New General Supervisor of Finished Goods and Warehousing
MEADVILLE, Pa. – Channellock Inc. recently announced that long-time associate, Gary Rankin, had earned a promotion to the newly created position of Plant 2 General Supervisor of Finished Goods and Warehousing. Formerly in the CIP Group reporting to Kathy Moon, Rankin now reports to Supply Chain Manager Mark Putman.
In his new role, Rankin will be the manager of first- and second-shift supervisors at Plant 2 and be responsible for all of the plant’s finished goods and final inspections as well as the overall warehouse maintenance and organization. Additionally, Rankin will help Putman with Plant 3’s expansion of finished goods.
“We’re excited to add Gary to the supply chain team, as his knowledge of the 5S workplace organization method, his experience in sales and distribution, and his years overseeing manufacturing production and safety make him the ideal associate to supervise Plant 2’s new structure,” said Putman. “We’re glad to have someone of his caliber leading the way as we work to enhance the company’s operational excellence.”
Rankin has worked at CHANNELLOCK® for nearly four decades. Since 1976, he has served in a variety of positions, from assembly to foreman, and from the sales department to a product manager. Rankin was born and raised in Meadville and is heavily involved with his community. He sits on the board of directors for his church, is a town auditor and runs a small farm with his family for high-end show cattle.
When asked about his new role, Rankin said: “I’ve enjoyed every job I’ve had at CHANNELLOCK over the years, and I’m excited about the challenge this new role will bring. I can’t wait to get started with all the great people in Plant 2 and hear their ideas about how to make finished goods an area of operational excellence.”
