Changes to Pilot Port Size and Pilot Pressure Range for Hi-Cyclic® Valve "BDP" Hydraulically Piloted Models

We have changed the port size of all hydraulically piloted versions from ¼" NPT to 7/16-20 (SAE-4) in an effort to be consistent with the thread types used and working pressure ratings of the hydraulically pilot operated models of the Hi-Cyclic® Valve family. In the past, both air piloted and hydraulically piloted versions (BP and BDP) were manufactured with ¼" NPT pilot port connections. By changing the BDP pilot port connections to 7/16-20, we now provide pilot pressure maximum ratings that match the working pressure of the 7/16-20 and 9/16-18 SAE ported bodies which is 3,000 PSI. In the past, the NPT pilot ports only offered the ability to use up to 2,000 PSI on the pilot port connection. Due to the pilot cap material thickness, both the 7/16-20 and the 9/16-18 ported hydraulic media bodies will feature the 7/16-20 thread in the pilot cap(s). The new pilot pressure range will be 35 - 3,000 PSI. There will be no change to the BP air pilot operated models. They will continue to be produced with ¼" NPT pilot ports rated from 35 - 250 PSI.

We have updated our "Specifications and Model Number" webpage for the pilot operated Hi-Cyclic® Valve series. The updated page can be found by clicking this link from our website below.
