CertainTeed Announces Winners of ToughGard®2 Textile Duct Liner Sweepstakes

(Valley Forge, Pennsylvania) - CertainTeed Corporation announces the winners of the ToughGard®2 Sweepstakes, a contest which gave three HVAC contractors across the country the chance to win a two-year lease on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2WD Pickup Truck. ToughGard2 is CertainTeed's thermally and acoustically superior textile duct liner that features contractor-friendly benefits such as easier handling and cutting.

The three winners are:

oRobert Waverly Adams, a resident of Chesterfield, VA, and owner of Adams Heating & Air Conditioning Corp. of Richmond, VA. The company's HVAC distributor is East Coast Metal Distributors, Richmond. The CertainTeed territory manager is Larry Bradham.
oEverett Ives, a resident of Tulsa, OK, and employee of Metro Mechanical Supply Inc. of Tulsa, OK. The company's HVAC distributor is Besco Supply, Tulsa. The CertainTeed territory manager is Jeff Bazemore.
oKen Button, a resident of Tucson, AZ, and employee of Madera Mechanical Inc of Tucson, AZ. The company's HVAC distributor is SPS Supply Co., Tucson. The CertainTeed territory manager is John McCormick.

The winners entered the sweepstakes at their local CertainTeed distributorship, earning one entry for each roll of ToughGard2 Textile Duct Liner ordered. No purchase was necessary to enter the sweepstakes. The approximate Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price for each prize is $12,000.

ToughGard2 has received a number of awards from prestigious trade magazines. Its thermal performance exceeds that of original ToughGard - the industry's previously preferred textile fiber glass duct liner - as well as all other competitive textile duct liner products and approaches the levels of performance of rotary liner. Its improved acoustical values enhance acoustic performance over a broad spectrum of sound.

ToughGard2 is more moisture resistant than standard liners, and is durable, abuse-resistant, and easy to clean. It exhibits low air flow resistance and meets all applicable fire resistance standards and building code requirements. Its unique composition of glass fibers yields a cleaner cut in the HVAC contractor's shop, whether on a coil line machine or under a contractor's knife. Other contractor-friendly features include a better tensile strength, excellent recovery after compression, and easier adhesion to metal.

Manufactured at the first U.S. plant (in Sherman, TX) constructed especially for the production of textile duct liner, ToughGard2 provides a product that is consistent across the board in thickness, width, and density. The approximately 80% recycled content enables engineers to meet requirements towards obtaining LEED certification. ToughGard2 is also certified for low emissions by the GREENGUARD® Environmental Institute.
