Central Maintenance and Welding Completes Sulfur Furnace Project

June 22, 2010 (Lithia, Florida) - Central Maintenance and Welding, Inc. (CMW), has recently executed a successful sulfur furnace replacement project for Mosaic Co. The project entailed the replacement of an existing sulfur furnace with a new one for Mosaic's New Wales #03 Sulfuric Acid Plant in Mulberry, Florida.

In terms of the project scope overview, following are brief highlights of the key tasks that CMW performed:

o Development detailed engineering drawings for replacement of sulfur furnace, crossover duct, pant legs, and jug tee by CMW's Central Engineering division.

o Fabrication of these same components with pre-turnaround assembly of the new sulfur furnace on site.

o Demolition of existing sulfur furnace in place during a scheduled outage.

o Installation of new sulfur furnace via a creative and efficient roller system prior to plant turnaround.

o And finally, installation of the balance of all components during the same turnaround.

With their constant vigilance to safety and successful job performance, CMW completed the actual installation of the new sulfur furnace two (2) days ahead of the original schedule. "We're committed to making our customers' operations successful - and with that commitment, we never lose focus on safety, quality work, and timeliness to schedule" stated Steve Bailey, CMW's Project Manager.
