Central Maintenance and Welding Completes Major Plant Turnaround for Mosaic Co.


June 29, 2009 (Lithia, Florida) - Central Maintenance and Welding, Inc. (CMW) has completed a major turnaround project for Mosaic Co.'s Riverview (Tampa) Florida sulfuric acid plant.

Specifically, the multi-million dollar project entailed the following key elements for Mosaic's # 8 converter at this facility:

o Demolition of the prior existing converter, ductwork, duct supports, associated structures, and insulation.

o Fabrication and erection of a new converter, ductwork, duct supports, insulation, and foundations as well.

o Demolition of existing super heater, piping, foundations, and insulation.

o Fabrication and installation of new super heater, piping, foundations, insulation, and support structure.

o Removal of existing cold heat exchanger and installation new including insulation, grillage, and new foundation.

As part of this entire project, CMW also performed some other associated plant maintenance including retubing a condenser and economizer.
