Cavium to demonstrate flagship 48 core ARMv8 based ThunderX™ family of Workload Optimized Processors for Data Center and Cloud Infrastructure



SAN JOSE, Calif. – Cavium, Inc. (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for enterprise, data center, cloud, service provider wired and wireless networking, will be showcasing a comprehensive silicon demo of their 48 core ARM-based ThunderX family of workload optimized processors at this year's SC14 conference taking place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, from November 16-21.



The demonstrations at Cavium Booth #1153 will include ThunderX running:



• Operating Systems including Red Hat Linux, Canonical Ubuntu Server Distribution

• Applications including Java 8 and Apache Web Server



In addition, Cavium's industry standard 1U and 2U customer reference platforms will be on display.



The ThunderX product family provides the best in class 64-bit ARMv8 Data Center and Cloud processors with an unprecedented level of integration and performance.
