St. Louis, Missouri, USA - Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of customized performance-critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced it will be participating in the Association of Iron and Steel Technologies (AISTech) 2011 trade show. The event will be held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, May 2 - 5, 2011. Cattron, a unit of Laird Technologies, will be located at booth #1308.

Cattron, a unit of Laird Technologies, will display its solutions for steel manufacturing, including the CattronControl(TM) series of remote control systems and the CattronConnect(TM) equipment monitoring software. The CattronControl(TM) remote control series is a globally available product line of radio remote control receivers for material handling operations. Consisting of a lightweight, impact-resistant Lexan EXL® housing, it includes options that are available for virtually any application requirement.

CattronConnect(TM) is equipment monitoring software that uses either 802.11 or satellite phones to connect to the system network depending on asset and infrastructure location. The system monitors a series of sensor networks and sends alerts to selected individuals or users if an issue is detected. An animated PowerPoint presentation visualizing how this software system is applied to different assets at various locations will be available for viewing at the company's booth.

"AISTech 2011 is the largest event for steel and metal producers in Northern America," said Jeremy Pearson, Cattron Director of Sales, Industrial.
