CAS DataLoggers Provides USDA with Temperature Monitoring Solution

Lascar Data Loggers are Affordable and Reliable

CHESTERLAND OH – CAS DataLoggers has just provided the temperature monitoring solution for the USDA'S Agricultural Marketing Service supporting American agriculture through programs for food, fiber, and specialty crops. Our Lascar data loggers give the organization an extensive standalone setup that fully automates their data collection. Additionally the data loggers' high contrast graphic screens make it easy to do a quick temperature check or pull up Max, Min and Average values. With FREE setup and control software, Lascar's affordability and reliability is ideal for the USDA's needs.

USDA users have opted for several dozen Lascar Thermocouple Temperature Data Loggers with Graphic Display. These 2-channel thermocouple data loggers are inexpensive and can log on both channels for truly cost-effective monitoring. Ideal for monitoring medical storage units, cold chain supply, HVAC building monitoring, and more, our graphic screen dataloggers each feature onboard storage of over a quarter of a million temperature readings per channel and show readings in real-time.

These data loggers are compatible with K, J and T-type thermocouples. Their 3 buttons allow users to start, stop and restart them without making an extra trip to a PC. Multiple data logging sessions can be stored on the device ready for upload to a PC for set-up and data download via the included Micro USB cable.

The USDA's setup also includes Lascar USB Temperature Data Loggers as an easy to use solution. These waterproof and stainless steel dataloggers are suitable for immersion in water baths or placement in a condensing moisture environment. Their extended temperature range of -40° to +125°C and IP67 rated case make them the perfect choice for these applications. CAS DataLoggers also provided stainless steel Type K and Sealed Type-T thermocouple probes and cabling along with free technical support.

Both datalogger models use Lascar's award-winning configuration software, now available as a free download. Users can name each logger, choose °C or °F measurement, select sample rates (between 2 seconds and 12 hours) and more. When users are ready to collect the data, the software prompts to save the information to PC and then displays it in graphical format. Users can also configure high and low thresholds for audible alarms with highly visible confidence/alarm LEDs.

Equally suited for meeting regulatory needs, Lascar makes a great fit for medical and food/beverage applications such as cold chain supply and storage.

CAS DataLoggers Applications Specialist Pat Picciano comments, "Lascar's a popular choice whether people need to buy in bulk or they just want a few loggers to check fridge or freezer temperature. They get a lot of bang for their buck with this distributed temperature monitoring setup."
