Call For Applicants: Dialog's 2006 North American Roger K. Summit Scholarship


CARY, N.C., USA (January 12, 2006) - Aspiring information professionals, take note: Dialog is now seeking applicants from North America for its 2006 Roger K. Summit Scholarship.

Dialog, a Thomson business, annually awards scholarships in different regions of the world to graduate students in library and information sciences.

The deadline for the 2006 North American scholarship award of US$5,000 is April 30, 2006. The winner will be announced at the Special Libraries Association annual conference, to be held June 11-14, 2006, in Baltimore, MD.

A panel of information professionals will select the North American winner after reviewing overall academic achievement, interest in electronic information services, proficiency using Dialog's online services and faculty recommendations.

The scholarship program is named in honor of Dr. Roger K. Summit, a pioneer in the online information services and the founder and chairman emeritus of Dialog. The annual scholarships are part of an array of Dialog initiatives worldwide in support of professional development.
