C&J Industries Named as Finalist for Prestigious Awards
CJ Industries was named a finalist for the 2014 Governor’s Impact Award in the category of manufacturing job creation in the state of Pennsylvania. Following 5 years of double digit sales growth, C&J was nominated for this prestigious award by the Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County.
“Since the great recession of 2008, C&J Industries has benefited from a significant number of new projects that have grown our business by over 50%,” stated C&J Industries President & CEO, Dennis Frampton. “In particular, over the past 3 years, our customers have transferred 130 plastic injection molds to C&J,” he added. Frampton went on to state, “C&J Industries is proud to contribute to both the local and state employment levels for good manufacturing jobs.”
C&J Industries is one of five finalists in the Northwest region for the Jobs First Award. In order to qualify for this award, C&J Industries maintained a positive net gain in new jobs over the last two years. C&J has displayed consistent year over year job growth and has remarkable employee retention. Over 60% of C&J’s workforce has been with the company for over 5 years and nearly a third of its workforce has been at C&J for more than 10 years. The Governor’s Impact Awards will be announced at a Governor’s Impact Awards Luncheon in Hershey, PA on May 30, 2014.
In related news, C&J Industries also announced that Trudell Medical International, one of C&J Industries Medical Device customers, has been nominated for the 2014 Medical Design Excellence Award (MDEA). Trudell is an MDEA finalist for their AEROBIKA® oscillating positive expiratory pressure therapy system. Trudell has named C&J as their supplier for the custom molded parts used in this innovative medical device. The MDEA Award will be announced at the upcoming MD&M East Show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City on June 11.
