Business Update from US, China, Jordan, Germany
St. Petersburg, Florida, USA – One of the initiatives that the Operations Department in St. Petersburg is undertaking this year is 5S. 5S is the name of a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke. The English translation for the words and they all start with the letter "S" are Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. We started in March in the Drill Department and moved to the Rout and Photo Departments.
The US location is continuing to upgrade and improve the facility and machines. A rebuilt Glennbrooke X-Ray machine in Drill and a used Mark 7 were installed. In the Rout Department, an accu-score machine with misting and a Four Headed Kenard Router were also installed. They also placed a fast tech server system for Drill and Route. In QC an Ionic Contamination Tester, and In the lab a new computer aided micro section lab microscope and 2 new flying probe CL test machines were purchased. Finally, 3,000 square feet of warehouse storage space is being added, starting on May 29, 2015!
China-The China Team has been really busy! In January the China Team attended the IQE annual party and had dinner with the entire IQE staff, to enhance the understanding between HT and IOE. During the party, they sang a song named ôWhat you donÆt knowö, and provided them with a banner as a gift showing their strategic partnership for a better future. Everyone had a GREAT time!
In March, Ahmad Hamadeh (CEO), Philip Haynes (President), Bob Castro (Director of Quality) and Tom Miller (Director of Engineering) visited the China Plant while visiting several clients.
Jordan The Jordan Team started supporting the European Team and Dina took on that responsibility! Thank you Dina! As we continue to stress the importance of communication, they developed an employee portal for employee services such as attendance, time tracking, file sharing and more. Their office just completed being remodeled and now has a new look. The renovation included an enhanced IT Infrastructure, more work stations for employees, and extra facilities for praying and training.
Germany The Germany location is named HT Global Circuits GmbH, and they are located in Mannheim, Germany. They are the newest location for H&T as they were officially established on May 5th 2015. It is a distribution, sales and support center. The building is 300 square meters (130 square meter storage and 170 square meter office). So far they have a total of 4 employees and growing, and they are led by Asad Hamadeh.
