Business Objects Names Mark Doll Senior Vice President of Professional Services; Industry Veteran to Lead Professional Services Organization Through Company's Next Phase of Growth


SAN JOSE, Calif. & PARIS--Jan. 3, 2006--Business Objects (Nasdaq:BOBJ) (Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250 - BOB), the world's leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced that it has appointed Mark Doll to the position of senior vice president, professional services. In this role, Doll will focus on expanding the global professional services organization and developing BI solutions that address organizations' unique vertical market and business challenges. Doll will be based in San Jose, California, reporting to John Schwarz, chief executive officer of Business Objects.

Doll brings to Business Objects over 20 years of experience in consulting and professional services management. Most recently, Doll served as a partner at Ernst & Young where he acted in a number of key leadership roles, including managing partner of the Security and Technology Solutions group. In this position Doll managed a 200 person practice and all security projects, including security assessments, risk management, and regulatory compliance. He also was a leader in the Ernst & Young High Growth Practice, which worked with CEOs, venture capitalists, and management teams to deliver global solutions to organizations that were growing very quickly.
