Campbell, Calif. April 15, 2008 - Brilliant Telecommunications, Inc. (Brilliant), a developer of next-generation network synchronization and timing solutions, today announced it is the recipient of the 2008 Frost & Sullivan Global Network Timing Emerging Company of the Year Award. The award will be presented at the 2008 Excellence in Industrial Technologies Awards banquet on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. Frost & Sullivan has recognized Brilliant's rapid rise as a significant player in the market and they believe that Brilliant will play a prominent role in the future of edge-to-core network timing and performance management solutions.

"Frost & Sullivan's recognition of Brilliant as the 2008 Global Network Timing Emerging Company of the Year is a testament to our focus and determination in delivering technologically advanced and innovative timing solutions to our target markets," said Dr. Charles Barry, president and chief executive officer, Brilliant Telecommunications. "We continue to deliver unique client-server timing architecture solutions that address network-based timing needs for today's rapidly evolving time-sensitive networks."

Brilliant Telecommunications has developed a standards-based, GNSS solution which has redefined network timing through the introduction of packet-aware timing at all layers of the protocol hierarchy. This approach delivers accurate timing for a wide variety of applications including femtocells, wireless backhaul and mobile basestation hand-off, combining carrier-class IP backhaul with seamless handovers. In addition, through their highly accurate implementation, a location can be readily identified anywhere in the network.

Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure their performance through in-depth interviews, analysis and extensive secondary research in order to identify best practices in the industry.
"Brilliant Telecommunications recognized the fundamental shift from TDM to packet-based networks and the negative implication this could potentially have on quality of service levels as expected by users and proactively developed products that address this concern," commented Lakshman Koundinya, Research Analyst, Frost & Sullivan. "This award underscores the company's commitment and dedication in delivering accurate edge-to-core solutions that provide timing and synchronization for the most critical next-generation IP and legacy networks."
