Bodycote Represented at TITANIUM 2016 3-D Printing & Additive Manufacturing Session


MACCLESFIELD (U.K.) - For over 15 years, Bodycote, the world’s largest heat treating services provider, has been a dedicated member of the International Titanium Association (ITA), supporting the advancement of research, design, metallurgy and engineering in the titanium metal industry.



This year, at TITANIUM 2016, the annual international titanium supply chain conference, held in September, Ron Adams, Sales Director for Bodycote Aerospace, Defence Energy Heat Treatment in North America, was amongst the featured speakers in a special session on 3-D Printing and Additive Manufacturing. The presentation was titled “The Benefit of HIP and Heat Treating on Titanium Additive Manufactured Components”.



Bodycote supports education and idea exchange in heat treatment, surface technology and hot isostatic pressing services among others. Other past contributions to the titanium metal industry include hosting ITA’s Continuing Education Workshops series.
