BlueStream Professional Services Acquires Assets of AFL Network Services, Inc.'s EF&I Business Operations

FARIBAULT, Minn. - BlueStream Professional Services, a KGP Company, has completed the purchase of select assets of AFL Network Services, Inc.'s EFI business. Two significant facets of this agreement include the transfer of the EFI Management Team and approximately 300 AFL associates to BlueStream, as well as some specific customer contracts and projects. This agreement provides a key opportunity for BlueStream to enhance and expand customer relationships and services for EFI projects.

"The addition of AFL's EF&I capabilities strengthens our position, as the Core and Edge of the networks we serve are undergoing massive transformations to software defined networks," said Matt Glass, Chief Operating Officer of BlueStream. "The combined capabilities extend BlueStream's ability to support legacy networks while enhancing our solution offering to customers in this new dynamic environment," Glass stated. "Additionally, this acquisition will extend our national footprint; yielding a strong BlueStream presence in all 50 states."

Of the resources that will transition with the agreement, BlueStream will gain engineering, project management, field technician and professional support associates.

"Across KGP Companies, we are firmly committed to being out front and enabling our customers to virtualize and transform their networks," said Trevor Putrah, President of KGP Companies. "BlueStream's investment to broaden its scale and capabilities in central office and data center services will further the end-to-end logistics and installation services solution KGP Companies can offer its customers in this time of unprecedented change."

BlueStream did not disclose the price paid for the AFL EF&I assets or specify exactly which assets it has purchased, but Glass did say that several of AFL's current EF&I projects will be completed by BlueStream.

Mike Booth, President of AFL's Network Services division, commented, "We are excited for the EF&I division to become part of the BlueStream organization. Together, we will continue to provide world-class professional services that will complement the transformation of our customer's networks to meet the growing bandwidth demands of the ICT industry."
