Five Bloggers add Value to Adhesives.org and Sealants.org

Blend of Industry Experts and Association Leaders Keep Industry Up To Speed

Bethesda, MD – The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) announces its blogger lineup for 2014 to include five regularly occurring blogs written by industry professionals and association executives, and published via ASC’s award-winning industry portal at www.adhesives.org and www.sealants.org.

The 2014 blogger line up will include the following professionals:

Paul Bertram – Director, Environment and Sustainability at Kingspan Industries, a leading manufacturer of insulated panels and facades.  Bertram’s focus will be on material evaluation and selection.

Bob BraunChemical and current sub-committee Chair of ASTM C24.61 (foam sealants).  Braun’s focus will be on the building and construction industry.

Jeff Timm – Principal at Timm Consulting.  Timm’s focus will be on the packaging industry.

Matt Croson – President of ASC.  Croson’s focus will be on macro-industry trends impacting the entire adhesive and sealant supply chain.

Mark Collatz – Director of Regulatory Affairs for ASC.  Collatz will highlight the downstream impact of pertinent regulatory rules and legislation.

“One of ASC’s objectives is to focus on community knowledge integration, and the blogs published on adhesives.org and sealants.org create opportunities for the entire supply chain to discuss issues and ideas, while also sharing response strategies,” reports Matthew E. Croson, President of ASC.  “The site will feature blogs written by these professionals, each with extensive backgrounds in their focus areas, in order to push the envelope on the ideas, issues and challenges facing the industry.”

The blog was introduced to adhesives.org and sealants.org in 2012 following a complete overhaul of the ASC’s industry portal.  Since the re-launch, a variety of industry professionals and guest bloggers have regularly discussed emerging trends and issues they feel the industry should consider as they leverage adhesives and sealants in their business.

“ASC’s bloggers are asked to ‘stir the pot’ with industry, while also pointing out opportunities for customers, formulators and raw material suppliers as it relates to using adhesives and sealants to innovate,” adds Croson.  “The response from industry has been supportive with the blogs being one of the reasons ASC has seen repeat visitor growth grow exponentially.

ASC promotes the blogs on its award-winning website at www.adhesives.org and www.sealants.org.  The blogs are also highlighted in the Council’s monthly news updates.  For more information, visit www.adhesives.org or www.sealants.org and sign up for the monthly industry news flash.
