Bison Gear Forms Go-to-Market Organization


St. Charles, IL - January 10, 2008 - To continue the strong growth rate achieved in recent years, fractional horsepower electric motor and gearmotor manufacturer, Bison Gear & Engineering Corp. of St. Charles, Illinois has established a formal Go-to-Market organization.

"We are now ready to take the next step to scale our sales, strategic planning and marketing processes," said Martin Swarbrick, Bison Gear president and COO. "We will plan what markets we want to target, align with the behaviors and needs of customers in those markets, and then put the right portfolio of products and value propositions into the proper channels for a winning total customer experience." To enable this initiative, Bison is forming a Go-to-Market organization under Swarbrick's leadership. The organization will consist of two departments: Strategic Planning & Marketing and the Sales Organization.

John Morehead will assume the role of VP of Strategic Planning & Marketing. John will have responsibility for all strategic planning, alliances and M&A activities and marketing.

Todd Lucich has joined Bison as VP of the Sales Organization. Lucich has over 27 years experience in the power transmission, electric motors and drives industry. Previously, he was VP of Distribution and National Accounts with Rexnord Industries and he held various sales and product management roles with Rockwell Automation. Lucich is a graduate of Western Oregon University and has 2 patents for engineering innovation.

"The voice of the customer, which is fundamental in Bison's Go-to-Market organization, will guide us in not only driving continuous improvement but also in developing the new marketing strategies and expanded product portfolio to meet those customer needs," said Swarbrick.
