BioInformatics, LLC Appoints Dr. Rowena Roberts as Director of Marketing


ARLINGTON, VA November 4, 2006 -- BioInformatics, LLC, an Arlington, VA-based market research and consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Rowena Roberts, Ph.D. has been appointed as Director of Marketing and Sales. In this role, Dr. Roberts will oversee communications with new and potential clients, cultivate client relationships, develop new revenue streams, and define new product offerings.

Dr. Roberts was most recently employed as Senior Director of Marketing and R&D for KPL, Inc., a manufacturer and supplier of immunochemicals for life science and in vitro diagnostics. Previously, Dr. Roberts held a variety of positions within the life science industry, with over 15 years of experience in product and marketing management, in addition to her years of experience in scientific research. As Business Director at IGEN International, Dr. Roberts developed and implemented business and marketing plans for an emerging food safety testing business. She has also held positions of increasing responsibility at W.R. Grace & Co. and Invitrogen (previously Life Technologies). Dr. Roberts has a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland.
