BioFit Earns Accreditation for Technical Seating Continuing Education Course
BioFit Engineered Products, a leading designer and manufacturer of ergonomic seating and mobile folding tables, has achieved accreditation from the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) for its course “Demystifying the Process of Specifying Technical Seating for Clean Room and ESD Environments.” The course was developed to educate contract furnishing dealers, specifiers and other industry professionals on the construction techniques and workplace requirements related to specialized seating while enabling attendees to acquire career-enhancing continuing education credits.
BioFit recognized a need within the contract and commercial furnishing market for increased awareness about seating used in specialized work environments such as clean rooms and electrostatic dissipative (ESD)/static-sensitive spaces. While most professionals in contract-related fields focus solely on the office, administrative and public-facing settings of customers’ businesses, they frequently overlook the opportunity to address seating needs in technical operations areas of those same facilities. BioFit developed “Demystifying the Process of Specifying Technical Seating for Clean Room and ESD Environments” to help educate architects, interior designers, dealers and other furniture specifiers on the unique details surrounding technical seating. Upon completing the course, attendees will gain insight about industries that require clean room and static-control/ESD seating, become familiar with clean room and ESD environments and standards, and, understand the importance of the materials and techniques used in the construction of clean room and ESD seating.
The course is accredited and registered with the IDCEC for continuing education unit (CEU) credits. These credits will also be accepted by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Interior Designers Association (IIDA) and Interior Designers of Canada (IDC).
