BinMaster Promotes K-State Bulk Solids Innovation Center

K-State has unveiled the Kansas State University Bulk Solids Innovation Center in Salina, Kansas. This $3.5 million facility is the first, and only one, of its kind in North America and will provide students with the opportunity to learn from valuable hands-on experience. It is designed as a space to research the science behind bulk solids materials. With an improved understanding, business operations in the industry can maximize efficiency and productivity. The Innovation Center was funded by public and private money, including a $1 million economic development grant.

BinMaster is excited to promote K-State and its students as they shape the future of the bulk solid industry in their new academic facility. MAXIMA+ rotaries, vibrating rod level sensors, dust detection sensors and Airbrator aeration devices are among the items that were by donated by BinMaster to the university. These products will be used by agriculture, technology and engineering students, faculty, and local business partners as they study the handling of bulk solids. The program will be especially geared toward the food, plastics and chemical industries.

"It is a privilege to have been asked to participate and be able to contribute to this state of the art facility," says Scott McLain, CEO of BinMaster and Garner Industries. "The Innovation Center will benefit the Midwest region, but will also impact the global market, and it's an honor to be part of that."
