Bil-Jax Seeks CE Approval for Summit Series

January 8, 2007 - Having attracted significant international interest since the first model was introduced in 2005, the Summit Series trailer-mounted aerial lift line, manufactured by Archbold, Ohio-based Bil-Jax, has become a rental favorite for homeowners and contractors alike. "We have far exceeded our sales forecasts year-over-year and have experienced exceptional market acceptance," said Steve Citron, business development director at Bil-Jax. Confident that the six-model Summit Series product line will be successful outside North America, Citron recently told Lift and Access that the company is currently working with a well-known organization to obtain CSA, CE, and Australian certification for the entire range, giving the company the ability to distribute into all international markets. Citron said he expects to obtain CSA, CE, and Australian certification for the 3632T trailer-mounted aerial lift model during the next few months, followed by approval for additional Summit Series models during the second quarter.

To promote the company's growth, Bil-Jax will be hosting an international dealer conference to establish business relationships with interested parties. "The company is very interested in creating a worldwide presence and this event will provide us with a forum to introduce ourselves to the international business community and provide some insight as to where we are heading in the future," Citron said. "Our leading line up of trailer-mounts represents just the beginning of a much larger range of access products planned for the near term."
