Beyond Lucid Technologies Receives Innovation Award for Software to Connect Ambulances and Care Facilities

MEDIVIEW™ integrates electronic patient care record software, telemedicine, GPS, and the first design for disaster response and Community Paramedicine / Mobile Integrated Health

BALTIMORE, – Beyond Lucid Technologies ("BLT"), a company whose software connects ambulances with hospitals prior to patient arrival, today said that it has received a 2014 Innovation Award from EMS World Magazine. The award was conferred during a ceremony at the EMS Today conference taking place here this week, and an announcement was published in the February 2015 issue. Beyond Lucid Technologies won for its MEDIVIEW™ electronic patient care record system and prehospital health information exchange, a first-of-its-kind software integrated platform providing:

• Compliance with the National EMS Information System (NEMSIS) v3 and legacy v2 Gold;

• Features purpose-built for use during disasters, including integrated online/offline telemedicine and GPS;

• The ability to share prehospital data in as little as 30 seconds...for FREE...which fosters interoperability between EMS and care facilities, as the latter begin seeking pre-arrival details about frequent and acute patients; and

• An integrated non-emergency dispatch and scheduling module called "TRIPS" designed for Community Paramedicine / Mobile Integrated Healthcare, including the ability to create longitudinal care records that may help prevent hospital readmissions.

"This award caps a year in which our business grew to serve EMS agencies in 16 states and the Department of Defense, pushing the envelope of modern emergency services. But we've taken a practical approach, like offering the first software that combines NEMSIS v2 and v3-compliance into one system so agencies can meet state requirements without having to retrain their crews," said Jonathon Feit, Co-Founder and Chief Executive. "The real kudos belong to our partners-clients in some of the country's most progressive EMS markets, from Pittsburgh and Philadelphia to greater Charlotte, Charleston, and San Francisco, where agencies have licensed our MEDIVIEW™ platform as part of a mission to improve care through efficiency and data liberation."
