Bernard Rzepka, Top A. Schulman Executive in Europe, Will Be a Plenary Speaker at SPE Eurotec(TM) 2011
NEWTOWN, CT, U.S.A., - The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) is pleased to announce that Bernard Rzepka, COO and General Manager of A. Schulman EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), will be a plenary speaker at EUROTEC(TM) 2011.
EUROTEC(TM) 2011 will be held November 14-15 in conjunction with the Equiplast exposition in Barcelona. The presentation, titled Compounding 2021, or, How to Grow in a Decade of Uncertainty, will be delivered on Tuesday, November 15, 2011.
Mr. Rzepka's presentation will take as its point of departure the changes that the world has seen in the past ten years and the likelihood that change will come even faster in the next ten. Observing that with change comes both risk and opportunities for growth, the presentation will provide an outlook on what may happen by 2021, and how, despite uncertainties, a company can still build a sustainable compounding business. The basis of success will be seen to be a full understanding of current and emerging trends to which the industry must adapt quickly. Several trends, plus examples regarding product innovation and a focus on diverging markets, will be highlighted and discussed in detail.
Bernard Rzepka leads the EMEA activities of A. Schulman, Inc. and is a member of the company's global leadership team. In the past 20 years he has led R&D functions and business units for A. Schulman. He began his plastics-industry career more than 25 years ago with ICI.
A. Schulman drives application development regionally and globally, and, in cooperation with customers, helps introduce new thermoplastic solutions in the form of masterbatches, engineering plastics, speciality powders, and distribution service.
