Bernard® Expands Online Ordering System to Include New Product Configurations

o Expanded Configurator(TM) allows integration of S-Gun components
o Customers save time, gain flexibility through complete gun customization

BEECHER, Ill., October 24, 2007-MIG welders and welding supervisors have several new ways to customize a MIG gun to their specific application requirements using Bernard's expanded online Configurator(TM).

In addition to the standard Bernard cable, handle options and Centerfire(TM) or Elliptical(TM) consumables, users of the online Configurator can now add an S-Gun(TM) heavy-duty 'monocoil' cable, OXO-style handle and Quik Tip(TM) consumables to their gun order. The expansion of the Configurator gives customers even more flexibility in designing a MIG gun tailored to their exact welding needs.

The Configurator, located at www.BernardWelds.com, leads customers through a step-by-step process in which they select each component of their MIG gun individually. The process begins with the selection of the type of cable and cable length and guides the customer through the selection of a handle, neck, consumables and direct plug. Each product category contains multiple options for even greater versatility.

Based on part identification codes, selecting a steel monocoil cable will result in an S-Gun, while a standard Bernard cable will lead to the creation of a Q-Gun(TM).

Upon completing the configuration process, customers are able to directly submit their selected gun for a price quote from their nearest distributor. Viewers can also save or print the selected part number for future reference.
