Belacon Enterprises Joins U.S. EPA SmartWay Transport® Partnership

Belacon's Participation Enhances Sustainability Efforts

ORLANDO, FL. March 3, 2011 - Belacon Enterprises today announced that it has joined the SmartWay® Transport Partnership, a innovative collaboration between U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and industry designed to significantly reduce greenhouse gases and air pollution.

Following on the heels of Belacon's J2Transportation division's SmartWay certification, granted in January 2011, Belacon Enterprises' certification highlights the company's commitment to sustainability across every aspect of their operations. This commitment will contribute to the Partnership's goal to reduce 33 to 66 million metric tons of carbon dioxide and up to 200,000 tons of nitrogen oxide per year by 2012 by improving the environmental performance of Belacon's freight operations. Carbon dioxide is the most common greenhouse gas, and nitrogen oxide is an air pollutant that contributes to smog. By joining the SmartWay Transport Partnership, Belacon Enterprises demonstrates its strong environmental leadership and corporate responsibility.

"We're pleased that the EPA's SmartWay program has recognized the efforts of both our J2 Transportation division, as well as Belacon as a whole, to enhance our commitment to sustainability and to help protect our natural resources" said Larry James White, Belacon CEO.

In addition to its transportation offerings, Belacon Enterprises also operates a coast to coast warehousing network, The Belacon Warehouse Network, with coverage in most major ports and markets across North America. Containing waste and enhancing recycling efforts is a commitment which impacts all of Belacon's operations and facilities.

"From our Bela-Green program, which helps our customers to recycle shipping and transportation waste, to our Returnable Transportation Item (RTI) logistics services, Belacon strives to be an environmentally responsible corporate citizen, while offering cost-effective solutions for our customers," noted Belacon COO, Jerry Connet.
