Bear Wins Contract to Design Custom Marine Power Supply for Solar-powered Instruments

Phelps, NY – Nov. 29, 2018 – Bear Power Supplies (www.bearpwr.com) has been awarded a contract to design a rugged custom power supply for use on marine vessels in commercial shipping. The system will collect and store solar energy and supply uninterrupted power to environmental sensing and monitoring instruments onboard ocean-going vessels.

Bear will design the new custom power supply to operate year-round in harsh conditions, from the arctic to the equator. The power supply design team will meet stringent requirements for shock, vibration and humidity, and ensure a product lifetime of more than ten years without the need for service.
