BASF Showcases Broad Product Offering for Engineered Fabrics and Nonwovens at IDEA 2010


Company to highlight its superabsorbent polymers, as well as components used to make or enhance engineered fabrics and their end uses

FLORHAM PARK, NJ- BASF will feature its broad range of products and technologies for the nonwovens market in its booth number 1672, Hall B, at IDEA 2010, the International Engineered Fabrics Conference. The triennial event draws decision makers in the nonwovens market from more than 70 countries, and takes place this year on April 27-29, 2010 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, Florida.

Additives and Colorants that add functionality, durability and appeal to nonwovens, including halogen-free flame retardants, polymer modifiers that enable spun bond to perform as meltblown, and colorants that offer design options and brilliance

Functional chemistries for home and personal care wipes that enhance product performance and claims, provide protection for wipes and end users, and improve aesthetics and delivery of actives

Acrodur® Acrylic Thermosets, innovative binders for a variety of applications, including natural fiber composites, technical nonwovensand filtration media. These binders are formaldehyde-, phenol- and VOC-free and thus present no hazardous emissions or costly emission control equipment, no odor and no labeling issues

Visitors to BASF's booth number 1672 in Hall B will also be able to attend one of several micro-seminars and demonstrations that will be held throughout the show. Show times will be posted at the booth.
