BASF Catalysts Receives Top Supplier Award from India's Tata Motors Ltd.


ISELIN, NJ, December 4, 2008 - BASF Catalysts has received Tata Motors'
"Overall Outstanding Vendor Performance" Award for 2008. BASF Catalysts manufacturing facility, near Chennai, India, was recognized for its "overall outstanding performance in the mechanical category" at Tata Motors' Vendor Meeting 2008, held in Mumbai in October.

BASF Catalysts was one of only two companies recognized this year for outstanding overall vendor performance (the other award was given to Sumi
Motherson in the electrical category). The award recognizes BASF's
contributions in developmental and applications engineering support for providing emission-control catalysts for Tata's new platforms, as well as its support of the automotive company's consistent quality and logistics
initiatives. BASF has supplied Tata Motors with emission-control
technologies for the past nine years.

India facility opened in 1998 to provide India's growing automotive industry with emissions-control catalysts. Today, the facility, which expanded its operations last year, supplies catalysts for cars, motorcycles and other small vehicles to all of the countries major carmakers.
