Fort Smith, Ark. – Baldor Electric Company is proud to announce that it has completed ATEX certification for all Baldor-Dodge Disc Couplings. ATEX is a European Union directive, which defines essential health and safety requirements for all equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres. The Baldor-Dodge Disc Coupling meets all ATEX requirements for mining applications and other applications with combustible dust and gas atmospheres.
Each Baldor-Dodge Disc Coupling has the following ATEX ratings:
• I M2 c Sizes 94 to 310 with an ambient range of -30˚C to +65˚C
• II 2 GD c 135˚C (T4) Sizes 94 to 310 with an ambient range of -30˚C to +65˚C
• II 2 GD c 100˚C (T5) Sizes 94 to 210 with an ambient range of -30˚C to +50˚C
