Baker Industries Sponsors Student-Led Formula SAE® Teams at Two Local Universities

Macomb, Michigan - Baker Industries, a Lincoln Electric Company, is proud to formally announce its sponsorship of the Formula SAE® (FSAE®) teams at Oakland University and Lawrence Technological University.

FSAE is an SAE International program that challenges student groups at universities worldwide to showcase and enhance their creativity and engineering skills by designing and building their own small formula-style race car. With the help of their respective institutions and corporate sponsors like Baker Industries, the students spend around 8-12 months designing, fabricating and developing their vehicles, which eventually compete against other teams from across the globe. The vehicles are judged in a series of static and dynamic events, including technical inspection, cost, presentation, engineering design, solo performance and high-performance endurance.
