Avotus Provides Comprehensive Communications Management Services to Fortune 100 Pharmaceutical and Consumer Products Company


TORONTO and BOSTON - May 17, 2006 - Avotus Corporation, the leading provider of communications expense management (TEM) and e-Procurement solutions, today announced that it has received a comprehensive telecommunications management contract from a leading Fortune 100 pharmaceutical and consumer products company.

The relationship encompasses all three components of Avotus' Intelligent Communications Management(TM) (ICM) solution - e-Procurement, Expense Management and Usage Management.

The company initially used Avotus' e-Procurement and Avotus WebAuction(TM) capabilities. In this latest expansion, the pharmaceutical company turned to Avotus for Expense Management to help with its communications invoice dispute/recovery process. Avotus has also implemented its Usage Management (next generation Call Accounting) capabilities to provide a complete TEM solution for the customer.

The company, which was paying an outsource service significant recurring fees per month for just call accounting services for fewer than ten of its sites, discovered that Avotus could deliver a comprehensive set of expense and usage management services for the same cost, delivering substantially greater value and return.

Under the same budget, the company replaced its incumbent provider and contracted for the Avotus ICM Usage Management solution, which can report on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) call information, as well as mobile and wireless calls. The contract also included Avotus Expense Management, which takes an inventory-centric approach with an integrated ordering capability to implement complete lifecycle management, starting at procurement and running through the life of the contracts.

Avotus now receives the company's invoices, completes the processing and manages all disputes with the customer's carriers.
